About myself…
My name is Matt Murray. Welcome to my website. Here you'll find information about my experience and skills in video production. I'm primarily a video editor, motion designer, and writer, but I have experience assuming a wide variety of roles in production over the years. This includes producing and directing, conducting interviews, operating cameras and control room positions during live events, and production sound mixing.
After receiving my Bachelor of Science in Film and Video from Drexel University, I got my start in the Philadelphia area working for Comcast Spectacor at the Wells Fargo Center. There I had the opportunity to work Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers games, as well as go on shoots with players and executives. I also found work with Campbell's Soup Company and their Chunky Soup Campaign with NFL Spokespersons.
These days I provide contract editing and motion design services including Amazon, Fujifilm, Proctor and Gamble, Peraton, Perspecta, and more. I am employed full-time as an editor with the Department of Veterans Affairs where I edit and write for The Bluf.
Outside of video production, as a tech enthusiast and storyteller, I’m currently engaged with learning C++, the Unreal Engine, and Game Design in efforts to explore new kinds of narrative experiences in Virtual Reality.
